Bowling Green, KY – Sam Houston Bourbon Whiskey has launched a second release of its 15-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Release No.7 started shipping this fall. This newest release comes after the much-heralded Release No.6 from the spring of 2021.

Both Release No.6 (Spring) and No.7 (Fall) of Sam Houston 15 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey are the most aged bourbon offerings from the brand to date. These releases were crafted from specific barrels in a private reserve of premium bourbon. No two batches are the same, but the taste profile captured in the barrel sampling process showcases the care and craft utilized in creating this limited and extremely rare bourbon. Bottled at 103 proof and priced at $139.99 a 750ml, these newest releases of Sam Houston are composed of 2 or 3-barrel state batches. The batches were non-chill filtered, adding depth of character and color. Each bottle is individually hand-labeled with specific aging notes and numbered, helping cement its place in these rare bourbon releases.

Over the past three years, Sam Houston Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was released 12, 14 and 15 Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys in select US markets. These premium, perfectly aged, well-crafted bourbons are offered in tribute to the life of Sam Houston. He was well-respected as one of the great political men of his day, serving as a congressman, the president of the Republic of Texas, and the governor of two states – Texas and Tennessee.
